Born and raised in Latin America, Kirsten studied at Florida International University and then founded The Kannico Agency, a boutique consulting and coaching firm that works with nonprofits, foundations and for-profit entities. Kirsten is a published author and proud member of Impact 100 of SPBC, a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) and a Certified Coach in Training with the World Coaching Institute.
Carrie C. Howell, MA, CFRE
Managing Director, Nonprofit Leadership
Carrie joins our team in Florida after growing up and living most of her life in the Carolinas. She started working at nonprofits early in her career and became an executive director at 25. Carrie now has over 18 years of experience in nonprofit work including serving on several nonprofit boards. She has a Master of Arts in Counseling and loves helping nonprofits reach their true potential.
Daniel Alberttis, MBA
Managing Director, Strategic Philanthropy
Daniel directs the Strategic Philanthropy division and manages client engagements consisting of Corporations, High Net Worth Families and Private Grantmaking Foundations. Previously he held various management roles over the course of 13 years for some the nations's largest financial institutions with the last 6 as a senior banker at JP Morgan Chase. He has advised and managed assets for hundreds of small and mid sized businesses and has served in several C-level positions as a trusted consultant.
Ann Best Paton
Ann Paton has been a fundraiser and public relations professional in the nonprofit sector for 25+ years. She has held leadership fundraising positions at Dartmouth, Brown, Florida Atlantic University and Barry University. Throughout her higher education career, she served on numerous search committees for faculty and administrative roles. Since her retirement from Barry University in 2011, Ann has been helping Palm Beach County nonprofits achieve sustainability.
Pam Perry brings over 30 years of successful stewardship with nonprofit educational and community organizations. Her roles range from executive and board leadership to consultancy focused on collaborative planning, meaningful partnerships, and the development of impactful proposals for funding. She values authenticity, opportunity, and building meaningful, sustainable futures through collaborative action. A recent transplant from Nebraska, Pam loves spending time with family, friends, a multitude of pets, and the amazing natural world around us.
Patty Liss Greenspan comes to The Kannico Agency with over 40 years of professional service in the nonprofit sector. Her experience spans from a long career in public relations and advertising to development and grant writing, fundraising, event planning, and business management. During her spare time Patty enjoys volunteer leadership activities, reading, swimming, the Atlantic Ocean, and dabbling with technology.
Melissa’s professional experience includes English instruction and curriculum development, and she currently serves as a grants program specialist providing full-service grant management support. Melissa provides consultant services including grant writing and research toward various education and humanitarian related nonprofits. In her free time she loves yoga and spending time with her family.
Grants and Development Consultant
Kamilah specializes in comprehensive grant research, annual fund and impact investment grant writing, capacity building services, accreditation support, and infrastructure and program development for domestic and international nonprofit organizations. Kamilah is passionate about AFP Fort Lauderdale where she serves as a new board member and the Membership Chair for 2020. She loves her pup Moose and all things Ft. Lauderdale.
Chief Creative Director
Diana has been helping nonprofits since seeing a dog get hit by a car in 2005 and starting a student led organization to help save homeless pets. She specializes in helping nonprofits be most successful through their online image and presence. Not only does Diana focus on the Kannico brand and presence, but she works closely with many of our clients to raise awareness of their important work.
Carolina is originally from Colombia, where her dream of starting a nonprofit in the arts, specifically dance, was born. Carolina works in the Global Impact division managing special projects including grant research and donor database administration. She is also extremely active in the community and enjoys her role as a connector, maximizing opportunities for partnerships and collaboration.
Tanaka Mutiti Adam
Tanaka graduated from Wright State University with a degree in International Studies/Political Science. She brings many years of experience in administration services and has worked with various nonprofits, bridging the gap between nonprofits and government. Tanaka recently moved to Florida from Ohio and enjoys volunteering!
